As one of only two designers on our team, I took the lead in presenting to the client. Recognizing the importance of catering to their cultural context, particularly their Japanese parent company's preferences, I proposed offering a range of design options. Understanding Japan's inclination towards tradition and risk aversion, I suggested presenting a traditional design, a slightly modernized version, and a more minimalist approach. By providing these choices, we ensured the client had ample room to make a decision that aligned with their preferences while accommodating their cultural background. Ultimately, they opted for a blend of tradition with minimalist elements, affirming the effectiveness of our approach in meeting their needs and expectations.
Time constraints present a significant challenge, particularly considering our department's smaller size and relative novelty compared to the branch primarily responsible for creative and business management. One key area where time management is crucial is in content copy revisions. Given that most changes pertain to wording, it's imperative to streamline the process. Fortunately, our manager has suggested implementing these copy changes during the development phase, which should help optimize efficiency and ensure smoother progress despite our resource limitations.
